Two scooter riders were waiting for the light. This red and white Metropolitan was halfway through its turn before I noticed the rider's distinctive style choices: red suede ankle strap platform heels, vintage brown barkcloth tiki print dress with inverted pleats, up-to-the-minute spring green knit 3/4 sleeve cardigan, knit striped scarf, black leather gloves with red lace detail, all topped by a black helmet.

That is just fantastic. Looks like you spent the morning in Europe. You have a wonderful ability to catch the perfect moments. Love visiting your blog.
Excellent capture! It fits right in with Bibi's shot at "A Yankee in Belgrade"!
That is hot. Love how one very heeled foot is dangled just off the scooter, as if in a tight turn she would brush the ground with it to keep herself steady?
Ooh, I like this one. You have a keen eye for fashion!
Oh, way to go, Kim! What a chic chick. Very classy ensemble, motorscooter included. Looks like she's just driven it off the showroom floor.
oh la la, those shoes! Excellent shot.
And who says heels aren't practical? ;) Love the photo!
Awesome! Both the shot and the style!
I agree Awesome. You would never see something like this in Alaska.
Love your images. I am not familiar with this blogging thing yet. Love to chat . Will put my email in my site. You have an amazing blog!!!
Style is obviously more important than safety for this rider. Cool image ... scary thought, though. I wish her well.
I love the red shoe on the red scooter. Excellent!!!
I noticed you caught her before her foot even hit the ground. Now that is perfect timing.
Reminds me of the Old Italian Lambretta scooter ....
Good stuff !

So Stylish! Love the gloves and the fact that there is a little mesh compartiment on the scooter to store your essentials. I'm guessing lipstick and suncream.
LOL, you have an eye for detail. All I got was here shoes matched the scooter.
Wow, she looks like she just stepped out of a fashion shoot.
This photo has stayed with me all day. I just keep thinking about the shot.
Kim: This is one of my absolute favorites. I'm working up a post on scooters for Living Small; could I use your photo in the post (with ample credit and links, of course!)?
Again, beautiful work. Keep it coming!
Kim, I'm as much amazed by your fashion review as your photo! Do you think the scooter dealer hired her to drive around town?
So very impressive, both the fashionista and the photographer! Fantastic.
Ciao Roma! Thanks for making me smile!
Another brilliant image. I'm left with a little mystery here not being able to see her face. Nice fashion writing too! Cheers...
This is a stunning photo. You caught the perfect moment. I love everything of it and the lady look like a classy lady ;-)
I would have some problems appreciating so many colors together .. I just hope the young lady took her cardigan off when she got to work!!!
Way cool, love it!!
This is a stunner. Just adore her straight back, those shoes, that outfit. She could be Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. Love it.
I love, love, love it! Well observed!
