So Dang CUTE

I saw this vintage Vespa Primavera red and white two-tone with padlocked front wheel parked in front of Juniper, a fun boutique on E Spring St. This might be the perfect economy ride for the student with rain gear.

Well, it's not only for the student; Chuck would like it, too. Is he around somewhere...?

Were you lying in wait for that exact Vespa outside that shop, Kim? How gorgeous!

Chuck is around, guys, just a bit under the weather. Yes, that Vespa is quite similar to my 1964 GL. Nice clean lines, handy storage area in the left rear cowl and looks to be in very nice condition. I don't recognize this particular scooter, but may have seen it during a local Seattle rally. Interesting locking method and I'd love to have a closer look at what the owner has done in that regard. One of the downsides of these vintage machines is that their built in head-set locks can be broken easily with a good hefty twist of the handlebar. Security is a problem and a definite consideration.

This reminded me of another Vespa from one of my favorite photos of yours (http://seattle-daily-photo.blogspot.com/2008/05/metropolitan-street-style.html) - very cute bike indeed.

Glad we had the opinion of the Seattle's specialist!!
