Barefoot Afternoon

A couple relaxing in the tomato-red chairs that say "that shot must be from Seattle," just as the green ones in le Jardin du Luxembourg or Les Tuileries instantly say "this must be in Paris." Wishing you a barefoot kind of start to a great July weekend. Seattle has its 60th Annual Seafair Torchlight Run and Parade downtown tomorrow; the giant 35th Annual Ballard Seafood Fest (street fair, live music, beer & wine gardens, 2000 lbs of fresh alder smoked salmon barbecue dinners cooked by authentic Ballardites who chopped down the alder tree a week ago and fabricated their own street cookers years ago--these guys know what the heck they are doing, the best you'll find anywhere and only $9!) takes place on a 3 block stretch of NW Market St. Sat & Sun. Please eat some for me, as I will be attending a Better Photo Summit and shoot at the EMP. Ah, summer pleasures!

Never had the pleasure of those tomato red chairs in Seattle but I spent a mighty fine hour or so sitting in the green chairs at Tuileries with Peter around the fountain not too long ago. Your photo is tres bon!

I go barefoot whenever I can. My feet are a bit weird. They can go white even when it is warm and if I take off my socks they return to normal!

Great summer feeling here.

So I'm sitting here reading the part about the seafood barbecue to my wife....just a few hours after she had several teeth pulled. Yikes!:-O

Wish I were with you, Virginia. You are going to have to some west when you get back to the States. Come see us!

Steffe, OK, my question for you is: if you have your socks on, how can you see what color your feet are? :-) Glad you get to go barefoot.

Don, tell Krise the salmon is very tender and soft. . .cooked to perfection. (Hope she's feeling well soon!).

I spent a lot of time barefoot here this weekend. The weather was stunning and "the mountain was out". Mt. Blanc that is. Funny how the locals here use the same expression as the Seattlites do for Mt. Rainier!

I love these chairs, miss these chairs, wish I had taken more pictures of them whilst living out there.

What a great blog - so glad I stumbled upon it!
