With multiple flags at half staff, small fluttering flags adorning the graves of veterans, and an honor guard standing with rifles at their sides, members of the
Swinomish Tribal Community honored loved ones for their military service and sacrifice with song and drumming in a moving
Memorial Day tribute under rainy skies at the Swinomish Cemetery. I came upon this holiday observance across the waterway from La Conner, WA. A little postcard for you from my recent wanderings a bit north of Seattle.
