Coming Ta Getcha!

No, it's not Nessy. But it's not far from the Locks. You may be familiar with the metal sea monster sculpture that's part of the Shilshole Marina jetty, but did you know as long ago as 1906 Ballard was graced by a sea serpent that got caught on film? There is a picture postcard of it at the very bottom of the page at this link. This whimsical creature slithers out of the ship canal onto a boatyard fence near the public access dock at NW 24th Street.

Look at this great sky you show today! Isn't it beautiful!?

I can't stand this kind of huge snakes.. We really don't know the "animals being" living at the bottom of the ocean... but i don't want to think about it! ;)
