The mountain was out and visible through a bit of evening haze when I took this shot. Several elements echo the dome shape of the mountain: the white tops of the arches at Pacific Science Center and the curves of the stadium structures. Go to my More Seattle Stuff page to see if you think Key Arena also suggests a visual echo of Mount Rainier's presence.

Hello from Belgrade, Kim. I love this shot. Can you tell me/us what lens you used, and where exactly you took the photo from?
Hi Bibi,
Thanks a bunch! I shot this from Kerry Park outlook on Queen Anne with 200mm.

Impresive shot, Kim!
how absolutely fabulous, Kim. I'm in awe - of the mountain and of course of the shot.
Iconic shot of Seattle. Very very nicely done.
The now defunct Kingdome would have fit the dome shape as well. Nice!
Beautiful shot, Kim! I can sit and look at Mt. Rainier forever. Seattle is truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Thanks so much for sharing it with the rest of the world. :-) Oh, and great song choice. Love Dave!
It is such a joy when SHE is out. I never tire of the view. Love the tiles on the steps in the previous post. MB
ah - very different scale but good companion to my un-spring post on Hyde DP
some nice blue sky this morning but it looks cold.
That mountain makes me SO happy...
Stunner!
The size of Mt. Rainier (that's it, right?) is just astonishing. Here you are, driving around or otherwise minding your own business, and all of a sudden, you see it.. massive!! Impressive shot.
Excellent image - the backdrop gives you an idea in scale of the buildings! Great work.
I am new to the CityDailyPhoto portal with my Cape Town photoblog. I will be stopping by here daily to get a view of Seattle - never been but on my list of places to visit :)
Cheers,
Craig
