I see the most interesting people on the streets of Seattle. This couple missed the entrance to the restaurant they were looking for, then backtracked when it registered. I'm thinking these were visitors rather than Seattlites. Perhaps from your city?. . .Your guess?

Nope. Not from Brookville, Ohio. Never saw them before. I think they are from Memphis, Tennessee.

Maybe if they're very Hungry, they came from Budapest! That's my best guess, anyway, based solely on appearance.

Thanks for these wonderful photos. Exiled for decades here in the middle of the proudly mediocre midwest, I miss the fascinating extremes of people who walk the streets of big cities. Fortunately, I plan to move/retire to Seattle in two years. Can't wait to visit Folklife again in less than two weeks.

Yup, hungry is what I thought too. Sure glad they found it. They might have a chi-chi retreat property near Elk, but not Willits.

Maybe they're from Norway? :)

Isn't that Bill Rieflin of Ministry, The Minus 5, R.E.M., and other bands? He lives here.

Abe, you crack me up!

Marie-Noyale, His expression was intense when he suddenly turned back to look at the place they had passed.

Bibi, hmmmmm. . .

IamMBB, that coat was the whole reason I had taken a couple shots of their backs from a distance before they turned around. It has a great silhouette and the fabric is fab.

Mark, too funny, and best to you as you anticipate the move.

USElaine, Aw, Willits has its grand hideaways, too. (has Elk gone that upscale? What about Philo?

Tanty, so nice to hear from you! Thanks for the grin :-).

Anon, OMG, thank you for letting me know. This the third time you've pointed out someone seemingly recognized by the masses except by myself. I'm so glad they didn't notice me because I would have been mortified to have been thought some sort of rude groupie/paparazi type knowingly invading an artist's private time out and about. Had I had any inkling, I would not have raised the camera. I love REM but have never attended a show and am not so immersed in the group that I'm familiar with what any of the player's look like except Michael S. Good grief. Thank you.

He looks like he's thinking "Ignore that photographer - focus on finding restaurant so wife can eat - I hate how she gets when her blood sugar drops!"

Curly, Thanks for stopping by! And, I'm glad they didn't see me.

Kelly, Well, Anon recognized them as Seattlites after all. I've been noticing coats this season and some of the great cuts and fabrics. This one was so nice.

very serious folk!
And if they aren't locals, they're intent on not looking too 'touristy'.

I don't think they're from NY, though. Probably Europe

Nope, definitely NOT from Maui!

Wherever they came from, they don't look too happy right now. in fact, they look just like Parisians stuck in a subway during rush hour (yeah, that happy!) ;) (but if they were Parisians in Seattle, they wouldn't be dressed up that way). ??? These people don't look like tourists at all. I give up! ;)
