Studying late night by screen light, cup of espresso at the ready, this is common student life in the first decade of the 21st century. Besides the proliferation of free WiFi hot spots, the decade will also be noted for the proliferation of the purveyors of cupcakes :-). This is my iPhone Wednesday shot for you from Cupcake Royale in beautiful downtown Ballard, taken and edited entirely in the iPhone using three apps this week: Photogene, Photoshop, and Blurred Photo.

Wow, what a strong image. It really feels late at night. I hardly ever take pictures with my iPhone. The camera on the 3G is so bad it doesn't seem worth the trouble. Maybe I should learn to exploit that.

What a fabulous atmospheric photograph. The light from the laptop and on her face, along with the writing on the glass - so good!

Atmospheric for sure. I would have chocolate crumbs all over my keyboard...

Late night study has certainly changed in the last forty odd years! But it's still late night. Students never change.
