I passed this scene downtown and just had to stop and stare. It was as thought provoking as an installation inside SAM or some street artist's display. I'd be curious to know what thoughts this image brings up for you, so feel free to pen your own title for whatever it invokes and share it in the comments.

I think this one is great! Love this kind of urban images.
Luis, you are too kind. I appreciate your comments a lot, knowing your years of work and abilities. Thanks very much.
I love the image too. It reminds me somewhat of life. The red X means DON'T and the green arrow means GO or DO. Result confusion! Result you have to make up your own mind in life.
Kim thanks so much for your kind and generous comments re my blogs'3rd birthdays. Means so much. Funnily enough I've been trying to leave a comment on your blog for a couple of days and every time I click on comment and the box pops up, my iMac freezes. It did it endlessly with your blog and with Petrea's. A friend suggested I reload the Flash app which I did. For a moment it worked and then wham, it hung again. After endless reboots, I gave up. That was yesterday. Today, by some miracle it's working so here I am and here are you and my thanks again to you.

Can I go up?
That's the title that came to mind. Really cool shot. I love how the neon reflects around the image.
The red background on the X sign is weird. Since the green arrow is highlighted over a black background, I would expect the red X to have a back background, instead of a white silhouette over a red background.
I suspect it's an underground parking garage ... but why would the lane symbols be lit with the rolling door closed? Jilly had it right ... think for yourself! Very graphic, Kim!
Thanks all, and Jilly and Chuck's "think for yourself" title reminds me of a related Dylan song title "Trust Yourself."
For me, Ani DiFranco's "Your Next Bold Move" came to mind. . .the door is DOWN, but we're still being told we have choices even in the darknes. When will we wake up and tear down the door to give everyone that wants it access. Ming, your observation about the background on the X not conforming with the background on the arrow is interesting.
Would love to hear what title and associations come up for others.

Many different things: indecision, or a profound choice. The One True Path (like there is one). Evil and Good. No exit or the way out. We're flying to South America tonight so the only sign I'm following is the gate number.
I guess the only thought that came to mind is what Chuck said==why illuminated if the door is closed? Your shot reminds me of this one I took in July 2008. 'Danger of poisoning,' says the sign, but there's a green light on....
Title: the landscape of passive aggression.
But I'd also like to commend the capture of shadows on the closed door and the tilt and color of the street before the door.
Being a mama of 2 small boys I immediately thought of the "mystery" buttons on an elevator that I won't let them touch.
This clearly reminds me of the the signs over the reversable lanes on the Mercer Island floating bridge in the 60's (and maybe thereafter).
Also as I look more closely at the photo, please observe the painted markings. The green arrow apprears to be in a line marked "ENTER" while the red X is more clearly in a lane marked "EXIT"
