Hanging on to these last moments of a short summer seems to be in a lot of people's thoughts. I took this drive by shot and wished I were taking a lunch break to read in clear view of Mount Rainier, too.

Very good for a drive-by! Framing and all. I like how one woman is lying down facing one direction and the other is sitting facing the opposite way.

Ah, yes! the dwindling days of summer. Means I'd better get out again to see the summer world before it passes me by.

@ Bibi, well, I pulled to the curb and took it out the open passenger window :-).

@ Kate, sadly this was last week, the weather turned rainy yesterday. . .more sun to come, though.

Very nice shot, indeed!

My dear old friend Jessie, native St. Louisan and now long-time resident of Wallingford, would always announce "Rainier's out!" on clear mornings. It's a privilege to have that hanging out beside you (till it blows up).

What a lovely shot - I echo what Bibi said about the framing and juxtaposition.
