Sunday Bridges #20: Washington Ship Canal Bridge

Sunday Bridges #20: Washington Ship Canal Bridge

This lengthy steel truss bridge was completed in 1961 to carry Interstate 5 traffic over the Lake Washington Ship Canal where it curves around from Lake Union into Portage Bay. I took this at sunset looking south from the University District toward the shores of the Eastlake neighborhood.
Be sure to visit Louis la Vache's Sunday Bridge Series which features bridge photos from bloggers all over the world. Enjoy!

Lovely colors of the pacific northwest! Almost looks more like Fall. Beautiful either way!

The previous commenters beat me to it - beautiful colors; looks like autumn is rolling in.

Hi, Kim. Indeed I see we both 'did' the same bridge; mine from much farther away!

I sent you an email re: lunch Tuesday,...check your email! :)
