The 27 mile long Burke-Gilman trail has a new extension that is almost complete along Seaview Ave ending at Golden Gardens. The landscaping is going in now, so it won't be long. The much awaited segment of trail is beyond that retaining wall to the right. These cyclists (two of them wearing the purple and gold colors of UW) are riding outside of the existing bike lane because of trail construction crew equipment on the roadside. Other portions of the extension through a tricky urban/railroad/marine industry area of Ballard are still having plans finalized with community input.
