Sunset Moonrise

Crazy Pretty Sunset

It isn't often you get to see the sunset and the moonrise at the same time, considering they happen on the opposite sky from each other. To be fair, this is really the reflection of the sunset, but I still think I was pretty lucky to be at the right place to capture this. Please enjoy my favorite picture of Seattle.

You got the sun just right on those windows. Nice photo. Good color depth.

I hope 2009 will be better than 2008, 2007, and 2006. I do think our government will be inspired by our new President Obama -- at least I hope so.

I would like to see the War in Irag end and I would like to see the killing stop everywhere.

It is my hope that Japan will stop slaughtering whales and raping virgin forests.

And I hope the people will lose their clubs and no longer club baby seals to death.

What a world we have and live in. 2009 could be so much better than it will be.

Wonderful image, Kim. I like the way the bollard links to the tallest building and the tiny bird. This is an image that one could view again and again. Lovely colour to the water too ...

Portland Oregon Daily Photo sends you heartfelt wishes for the new year. May your 2009 be filled with good health, riches of the mind and heart, loved ones returning home, an increased respect for our fragile planet, and the cessation of wars across the Earth.

Great photo!
