After yesterday's matched pair I thought you might like to see this one. These are siblings and they are a bit unusual to see here in Seattle in that they are wolf-dogs, according to their owner. We do see lots of variations of breeds with Alaskan heritage like sled dogs, huskies, and malamutes, which these resemble. So, these pups don't seem out of the ordinary and blend in despite their rarity. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, "GO DAWGS!"

Are they part wolf part dog? Or are they all wolf or are they a new breed called wolf dog? Whatever they are, they are handsome babies aren't they?
Happy looking dogs no matter what. they are smiling. MB
Lovely dogs, lovely shot. If they really are wolf dogs, they are a hybrid. See this:

OOHHH< they are so cute. I would love to give them both a good scratch behind their ears. Cute twins today!
Great picture! What cute dogs!
I like this pair. They are living in the moment, as all dogs do. Nice close up work.
To answer folks questions: They are half wolfe, half dog, and so the hybrid called wolf-dog, as Jilly was so kind to give the Wiki link for. And yes, they are happy looking and for good reason: they seem to have a very dedicated owner who understands them well and caters to their needs. This is a real dogtown with many conscientious and dedicated pet owners, but these are not a pet that just anybody could do well by. And Knoxville Girl, I like what you pointed out, how they do live in the moment. That's a lesson for all of us to heed a few times each day, eh? Thanks for your kind interest and comments.

Great capture again by you!
They are so stinking cute and brought a smile to my day. Thank you!
I love the agouti type fur colors, blending from grays to browns. Gorgeous.
All I know is they are adorable and your close up is so rich in detail.
Wonderful looking beasties. I do wonder sometimes how they go in the big city though, don't they miss the call of the wild?
I have a question: do people miss the Sonic yet? Or are people a bit "Meh" about it all?
I know people love to own big dogs around here, but I too wonder how much fun it is for them to be city dogs.
As to the dawgs, they do eat ducks, don't they?
Those look like two pleased pooches!
"Louis" has nominated your scooter shot from the previous day as one of his all-time favorites here!
They do look like twins with the spots on their nose being the same. I am impressed with them and with your finding the subjects lately. Wow.
Wow they look cute. I like them.
yeah these are beautiful dogs! ... that is amazing what you said on your comment ... glad to hear that the government is working to keep wild animals around... and that they are migrating again into the NW US ... also the answer to your question was yes did take the shot of the wolves... the preserve is great for getting amazing pictures!
So cute! They look like a mix of Husky and German Shepard to me. I grew up with Huskies and love them, but wouldn't have one now living in the city with my lifestyle. They need to get out and "be wolves" once in awhile. ;-)
aw....sweet!!!
Adorable! Lovely pic:)
