Students in Rain of Petals

Students in Rain of Petals

These students were photographing each other with the soft backdrop of cherry blossom petals falling all around them in the Liberal Arts Quadrangle at the University of Washington. The Quad is famous for the 30 mature Yoshino cherry trees transplanted around its periphery 42 years ago after being removed from the arboretum for a roadway project. People from all over the world visit the campus to see these trees and experience their lovely magic, like all these cute guys from Kabul you may remember from last year.

What a sweet photograph. That couple is as tender and full of promise as the petals.

They are cute ~ including their matching outfits. This drift of petals is so pretty, Kim! Hubby and I married outdoors under some old trees and just after the, "I now pronounce you..." there was a leaf shower as if on cue. I love things like this!

Beautiful spot indeed. The young couple look like they are having a fun time and totally enjoying themselves and each other. Isn't Spring wonderful!

Fabulous shot, Kim. So much in it. The trees, the blossom, the sun and shadows and of course the two students. So touching.

Superb. The downside is: they are flying off ALREADY!

Maybe THIS year they won't all get destroyed by the rain before we are able to fully enjoy them. It hasn't been this warm since the start of last October.

Nicely captured photo!
